Data Scientist AI Engineering

I build data platforms
and AI pipelines.

I'm Ashwin, a data scientist in Bengaluru. Most of my work is document and data automation. Taking a job that costs a person weeks and turning it into one nobody has to do is what I'm good at. Before that: education technology, and a scientific archive for ISRO's AstroSat mission.

02 Where I've worked

Finance, education,
space science.

Three fields with very little in common, and the same problem in each one: plenty of data, not much structure around it.

03 Teaching

Explaining it is how
you find out you know it.

I've taught Git to college cohorts, run robotics sessions for kids from marginalised communities, and walked rooms full of people through AI pipelines they had never seen before. Thirty students will find the gaps in your understanding faster than anything else.

Away from work: piano, and whatever subject has my attention that month. Lately Welsh history, absurdist philosophy, Rust and Religion.
